Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering is a regular part of life at Attivo Trail. Residents share their time and skills to support our community and people across Iowa. Current efforts include:

Waypoint Resources Food Pantry: Residents collect non-perishable food and household items to support local families in need. Some also volunteer weekly at the pantry to distribute donations to families in need. For volunteer opportunities visit https://waypoint.care

Iowa Legion Donation Drives: In partnership with the Iowa Legion, the Veterans Drive for Iowa Deployed Soldiers collects essential items and care package supplies for Iowa soldiers overseas. Meals from the Heartland: Residents regularly volunteer to label meal packages for Meals from the Heartland. These packages go to food-insecure families, disaster relief programs, and international hunger efforts. Many residents find fulfillment in knowing that their work directly helps people far beyond our community. This year, residents have labeled 95,000 bags! P.A.W.S. Partners Actively Working for Success: Each week, volunteers spend 45 minutes mentoring 3rd–5th grade students at Edmunds Elementary in Waukee. They offer support and build lasting connections. One resident organizes meetings and encourages others to join the program.
